Where sportiness meets sophistication.
The CUPRA Ateca has undergone an update for 2020. With added technology, safety features and all-round better comfort inside the cabin, this model is one to look out for.
This is the same great car as it was before, however you can now expect upgraded technology and style to meet the needs of the driver and the roads today.
Interior has been upgrades in this model means you will be cruising along the road whilst sat on standard-fit Alcantara sports seats. An engine start button and aluminium pedals join this model to make it simultaneously luxurious and sporty.
The biggest difference inside the new CUPRA Ateca is the brand new 10.25” digital cockpit placed behind the new ‘microsuede’ steering wheel, and a high definition 9.25” infotainment touch screen with wireless FullLink connectivity in the centre of the dashboard. Both of these new screens work together to ensure you have all the information you may need right in front of you, so you can take to the road in your own way with everything you need right in front of you.
FullLink technology lets you connect your smartphone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and gives you access to be able to send and receive messages, make phonecalls, access your apps and contacts, and play your favourite playlists whilst on the road.
The CUPRA Connect* app also allows you to keep connected with your car. You can use this remotely, via your smartphone or desktop, or by using the HD infotainment screen whilst inside the car.
*This app lets you check your vehicles data, such as parking position, vehicle status including doors and lights, area and anti-theft alerts, open and close doors with remote lock, and can remotely activate the horn and turn signals to find the car more easily. As well as this, you can search for live traffic information, opening times and current prices at nearby petrol stations, and plan your trip from home so your vehicle is ready for you for when you start the engine.
Uniqueness is captured in the new CUPRA Ateca exterior, with a dark aluminium front grille frame and a reinforced bumper.
Additional style changes include aluminium side mouldings, mirror caps, and roof rails, as well as new puddle lights that project the CUPRA logo to light the way and guide you into the car when natural light isn’t available.
A new bumper design makes this model 10mm longer overall than before. Beefy 17” CUPRA brakes are fitted as standard, or a set of 18” Brembo brake discs can be chosen as an optional extra, improving overall stopping performance, and boosting the sportiness of the exterior.
A set of 19” alloy wheels come as standard on this model, along with some copper-coloured badging and new scrolling indicators to ensure style at all times.
Engine and other specs
The new CUPRA Ateca is ready for any road, with a 300HP engine equipped with 4 driving modes:
The Ateca retains its 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. A new electrohydraulic multi-disc traction system is placed in front of the rear differential monitors and analyses the road ahead, as well as the movements of the driver to vary power delivery across the four wheels based on grip levels. Due to this, the CUPRA Ateca can go from 0 to 62mph in just 4.9 seconds, and top speed is 153mph.
Tweaks to the calibration of the steering set-up and throttle behaviour helps to bring maximum agility and enhances drive for those in the cabin. CUPRA’s Adaptive Chassis Control system can change the suspension through damper settings within milliseconds, according to different driving conditions.
