Interior

As funky on the inside as it is on the outside. The Fiat 500 interior has a stylish and modern look, with some styling being carried from the traditional 1950 design. Packed full of modern kit, the Fiat 500 has everything you should need inside to keep you comfortable and connected throughout your journey.

The seats are soft, and in most trims you’ll get two-tone upholstery, featuring fabric on the bases and lower half of the seat backs, while the upper half is finished in soft leather-effect material. Opt for the Mild Hybrid model and get seasts made from weaving a material derived from recycled plastic.

A logically laid out dashboard features glossy plastic buttons, which gives a classy feel. A DAB radio and USB connection helps you to listen to your favourite music, and will display on a Uconnect 7-inch HD touchscreen with Bluetooth. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto simply connects your smartphone so you can get directions, make calls, send and receive messages and listen to music, audiobooks or podcasts whilst staying focused on the road ahead.

Sat-nav is standard for Star, Rockstar and Launch Edition cars.

Uconnect LIVE app enables you to manage your car directly from your smartphone. You can control status and movements of your 500, like showing where you parked your car, control the door locks and send you push alerts in case you forgot something on-board.

The gearstick is mounted high on the dashboard so you can grasp it easily, and the steering wheel and column stalks are available in a light cream finish if you’ve gone for a light body colour. The steering wheel is thinner than older models, and has flashes of chrome and higher quality materials than before, too.

Exterior

Attention to detail makes this model different from the rest. Chrome trim accents surround the vehicle, and 14” – 16” alloy wheels carry it along the road comfortably and efficiently.

An extra chrome strip covers the front of the model, and new larger elliptical daytime-running lights guide the way when night falls. At the rear, there are new ring-shaped light clusters with body-coloured centres for added detail and style.

This model may be small, but it’s mighty and will make an impression on any road, so you can make them stare for all the right reasons.

Engine

The Fiat 500 is designed to be a stylish city car, and will really excel around town. Its compact dimensions and large front windows allow you to easily see where you’re going and place the car exactly where you want it. Due to its size, the 500 can easily fit through gaps that would leave other cars sat waiting.

Simply press the City Steering mode button on the dashboard and activate extra power assistance for steering, making it easier to nip through the city with hardly any effort.

The TwinAir Turbo 85hp engine is joined by the new powerful TwinAir Turbo 105hp, which adopts refined technology such as supercharging via high-efficiency turbocharger. Integration of the exhaust manifold in the cylinder head and the brand new MultiAir II intake valve control system means this is a high spirited character on the road coupled with low consumption. You can also opt for a 1.2 69hp engine.

The Fiat 500 is a compact car that puts its passengers first. Sporting seven airbags - driver and passenger airbags, side airbags, window airbags and driver’s knee airbag – your friends and family can travel with peace of mind.

With the introduction of mild hybrid technology in Launch Edition and Dolcevita trims, these models are not only more efficient on the road with lower CO2 emissions, but also provides a more refined and relaxed driving experience.

The mild hybrid system assists with the acceleration to improve responsiveness and allows for a quicker and smoother engine restart during the Start&Stop phase.

The mild hybrid system does not need to be plugged in to an electric charger. The system regains energy during the coasting and braking phases when on the road to provide hassle free driving in and out of town, whilst still providing ecological and economical benefits.

If the roof down and the wind in your hair is more your thing, this model is also available in a convertible version, the 500C.
