The Super Hybrid System

The OMODA JAECOO SHS System combines the worlds most thermally efficient engine, an innovative hybrid system and battery pack.
The car is set up to drive like an EV, using the engine to generate electricity and at times, drive the wheels directly.

ENERGY MODES explained

INITIAL
Prioritises EV Driving, except when under hard acceleration, when the engine will fire to support.

SMART
Uses a combination of the Petrol engine and EV modes to give the best balance for efficiency.

FORCED
Users can set a minimum battery % from 30-80%. Allowing for future challenges, e.g. saving battery charge for driving in mountains.

Super Hybrid System - Best Practice

Switching to SMART Mode:
If the car recommends to switch to SMART Mode, it is to keep the battery topped up. It is more efficient in this mode if the battery % is low. Ignoring this may trigger a "Power system limited stop immediately and contact service" warning message.

In cold weather.
When the car is being driven in INITIAL mode it will be using EV power. If hard acceleration os demanded, the engine will fire up. However, if this is the first time teh engine has fired during the journey, it requires time to warm up ( to protect the engine) This may mean less power is avaialable than expected.
This will not last long and can be mitigated by using SMART mode earlier in the journey.

VEHICLE PERFORMANCE MAY DIFFER WHEN THE BATTERY HAS A CRITICALLY LOW CHARGE.
