Nissan have launched a refreshed version of the Navara pick-up model. A revised chassis set up, a new manual gearbox, and extra technology are among the updates that have been made. This model is available from 1st July 2019, with prices starting from £21,850 (+VAT).
The chassis revisions for this model begin with the roll-out of the truck’s multi-link rear suspension set up to the King Cab variant, increasing the base-model’s payload by 46kg, now making the whole Navara range equipped with fully independent suspension. The braking system has also been revised, fitting disk brakes to the rear axle replacing the old models’ drums, as well as a larger brake servo and bigger front brake discs.
Nissan have brought back its less powered 2.3L four-cylinder diesel engine, adding two twin turbochargers. The power of the car remains the same at 161bhp, but torque has increased by 22Nm from the previous model. A six-speed manual transmission compliments the new engine, with longer ratios and a shorter shift pattern.
Whatever your personality or needs, the new Navara comes with new 17 and 18 inch alloy wheel options, with fresh black headlights. On top of all of that, it also gets Nissan Connect for the first time, which lets owners operate the locks, check the status of fuel and fluid levels, and pre programme sat-nav routes all ahead of departure using an application on a smartphone.
