As part of our continued growth plans, we are looking to recruit a high calibre individual to join our FG Barnes Maidstone site, as a PDI Technician.
You will be required to carry out vehicle preparations on new and used vehicles and work efficiently and competently to carry out serving, complete repair orders and fit accessories. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and well-presented person with good time keeping skills, who enjoys working as part of a team. They’ll also have a keen interest in motor vehicles. This role is ideal for someone who is both professional and a good communicator.
Some of the tasks that the position involves will include:
Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control
Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work
Maintaining thorough and up to date product knowledge
Using specialist equipment such as electrical and electronic diagnostics
Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals
You will ideally be both computer literate and educated to a GCSE standard, however lower grades may be considered. The successful candidate will receive competitive pay, full on-going training and the opportunity for career progression. The successful candidate will have to have previous workshop experience & a minimum of a Level 2 Qualification.
