The SEAT Arona wins WhatCar? Award

The SEAT Arona has taken home the win for Used Small SUV of the Year in the What Car? Used Car Awards 2022 for the second year running!

Based on the excellent Ibiza hatchback, the SEAT Arona is one of the most versatile in its sector. What Car? says: “it’s more agile and fun to drive than the majority of its peers, including the Renault Captur and Volkswagen T-Cross, and it’s more comfortable than the Mini Countryman.”

All of the SEAT Arona’s engine choices are strong, but the What Car? pick is the entry-level 1.0 TSI 95 petrol, proving nippy enough for most people’s needs yet also efficient enough to keep running costs low. The interior is roomy by class standards, and the boot provides enough space for all you should need when out and about.

Best of all is the SEAT Arona’s affordability. For around £12,000 for a 2019 1.0 TSI 95 in well-equipped SE Technology trim, the Arona beats the Audi Q2 on price, as well as being more well-rounded than cheaper options such as the Captur and Suzuki Vitara.

If you can’t take a trip to the vehicles namesake, Arona in Tenerife, you can always bring the Arona to you. SEAT’s small SUV won’t help you work on your suntan, but it will do more to enhance the quality of your motoring life than any of its used rivals.
