The Directors of FG Barnes and Sons have decided to keep the showrooms closed on Sundays. We will remain digitally open 24/7 and if a customer sends an enquiry on a Sunday, our teams will respond to this as quickly as possible.
Since re-opening on June 1st, we’ve noticed teams satisfaction and well-being has been enhanced. Our members much appreciate now being able to spend Sunday as a time for family and friends. We are confident that our customers will benefit from our resolve to offer the very best of service over the 6 working days of each week.
We have recently launched our new website, which provides you with the opportunity to reserve a used car for just £99, meaning you don’t have to visit the showroom to order your car.
You can contact your Sales team via the following channels to book an appointment; phone, email, website or Facebook. Throughout the group, we will actively be encouraging pre-booked appointments Monday to Saturday to maintain social distancing measures, these will continue to be observed with hand sanitiser readily available at all entrances along with Government advice of wearing masks when in car showrooms.
The Covid restrictions have shaken all businesses in the retail sector. In our 121 years of trading we have negotiated two world wars and never had to close our doors to our customers even though our Guildford business was requisitioned by The War Office on 72 hour notice in June 1940. Come March of this year we declined to follow most of our trade into closing our service departments but answered to our status as an essential service with all 7 locations open to key workers and essential transport. This would have been impossible without the dedication of our core staff and senior management team and our loyal and supportive customers to whom we say a Big Thank You.
Yours Sincerely,
Mr Douglas Barnes
Chairman
Mr Bala Waran
Company Director
